What we’ll explore

This workshop brings together the pillars that support sustainable movement:

  • Mobility & joint health (hips, ankles, spine — the foundations)

  • Strength basics to support real-life movement

  • Breathwork for stability, nervous system support, and presence

  • Mindset & body awareness (moving with intention, not punishment)

  • Nutrition & hydration essentials for energy, recovery, and resilience

You’ll leave with simple tools you can actually use — whether you’re a runner, hiker, gym-goer, or simply someone who wants to move with more ease.

  • Not at all. The workshop is designed for all levels, whether you’re new to movement or already active. Everything will be guided gently and with options so you can move in a way that feels right for your body.

  • Please wear comfortable clothing you can move in and bring a water bottle.
You may also want to bring a notebook if you enjoy taking notes.

    • We will mainly be based outdoors at the beautiful Carey’s Secret Garden. Please bring layers so you feel comfortable regardless of the weather.

  • After the workshop, you’ll have the option to join a 30-minute guided mindful barefoot walk through the garden to put some of the principles we explored into practice.

This is an optional add-on (£5) and completely up to you.

  • Yes! During the workshop there will be delicious snacks prepared by Kara, so we can relax, connect, and refuel together.

  • Yes. The workshop focuses on gentle mobility, awareness, and functional movement. If you have any concerns, please feel free to get in touch beforehand so I can support you.

  • If the weather becomes unsafe or unsuitable, the workshop may be rescheduled. Participants will always be informed in advance.

  • Tickets are non-refundable, but you are welcome to transfer your ticket to someone else if you can no longer attend.

This workshop is for you if you:

  • want to feel stronger, more mobile, and more confident in your body

  • feel stiff, achy, “out of sync”, or like your body needs a reset

  • love movement (or want to) but don’t want anything intimidating

  • want practical, supportive tools that fit real life

Perfect for all levels — from beginner to experienced mover.

Meet your host

Hi, I'm Tamara - The MindFuelBody Coach

I’m an accredited Hypnotherapist, Nutritionist, and UESCA-certified Ultra Run Coach with over seven years of experience supporting individuals on their journey to holistic well-being. I'm also currently training to become a qualified Mountain Leader, deepening my connection with the outdoors and expanding the way I guide others through wild landscapes — both inner and outer.

While I’ve spent years as a passionate plant-based ultra trail runner, my approach has since evolved to honour what feels most aligned and nourishing in each season of life. What remains at the heart of everything I do is a deep respect for the mind-body connection, and the power of nature as a space for healing, transformation, and coming home to ourselves.

My own path has been shaped by the grounding rhythm of trail running, the wisdom of the elements, and the inner shifts that hypnotherapy and mindful practices offer. Working and moving with earth, air, fire, and water continues to guide me toward greater resilience, clarity, and joy.

Through my work, I aim to help others reconnect with their inner alchemist – that part of us that knows how to transform, adapt, and rise – by weaving movement, mindset, and nature into a powerful support system for personal growth.

Lots of love,
Tamara

Pier Journal

'Pier Journal was founded in 2022 to celebrate creativity and culture in the Bournemouth area. It has since expanded to cover the whole of Dorset, shining a spotlight on the people, places and events that make this county such a great place to live, work and play. At its heart is a stunning printed journal created and distributed between 2 and 4 times a year for free to help people love where they live. Outside of this, the volunteer team behind Pier put on events in collaboration with partners such as Tamara to bring the community together - from gigs and exhibitions to quizzes and markets, and now this walking series. Pier helps local freelancers, creatives and businesses connect, creating opportunities and giving people a reason to make Dorset their forever home. Find out more at pierjournal.co.uk
