Why foot health matters to me

My interest in foot health started through my own experiences with shin discomfort, ankle issues, and bunions. Over time, I became increasingly curious about how our feet move, the role footwear can play, and how foot mobility fits into the bigger picture of movement.

That curiosity eventually led me to discover The Foot Collective’s approach and their range of tools. I began incorporating some of them into my own mobility routine and exploring practices focused on foot movement, strength, balance, and awareness.

For me personally, this has become a valuable part of how I look after my body and prepare for running, hiking, and everyday movement. That is simply my own experience — it is not a health claim, and I cannot guarantee that the same tools or practices will have the same effect for someone else.

What I particularly enjoy about foot health is learning more about how our feet move and giving them opportunities to move in different ways. Whether you run, hike, spend long days on your feet, or are simply curious about movement, foot mobility can be an interesting area to explore as part of a wider movement practice.
