Hello wonderful you,

I am so grateful and excited to be hosting Held by the Elements in collaboration with Dorset Mind.

When Dorset Mind reached out to explore working together, it felt like a real moment of alignment — a beautiful recognition that a calm, nature-led, holistic approach to wellbeing truly has a place in supporting mental health in our local community.

This collaboration brings together everything I care deeply about: connection, nature, nourishment, reflection, and creating spaces where people feel held — while also raising vital funds to support others across Dorset.

By joining this retreat, you’re not only gifting yourself time to slow down and reconnect — your ticket also directly supports Dorset Mind’s work, helping more people feel supported, understood, and less alone.

About the experience

Held by the Elements is a small-group, seasonal retreat experience designed to support the body and mind’s natural rhythm with the seasons and nature.

Hosted in the heart of Wareham Forest at Happy River Retreat, each gathering offers a calm, grounding morning of mindful time in nature, guided meditation, reflection, and a seasonal dining experience — all while raising funds for Dorset Mind.

This is not therapy. It’s not about fixing yourself.

It’s about creating the right conditions to pause, soften, and feel supported.

  • No. Held by the Elements is a wellbeing retreat experience, not therapy and not a replacement for professional mental health support.
The evening focuses on calm, reflection, nourishment, and connection — there is no analysis, diagnosis, or therapeutic processing.

  • No. Sharing is always optional.
You’re welcome to speak, listen, or simply be present. There is no pressure to share anything personal.

  • You don’t need much — just come as you are. I recommend bringing:

    • Comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing (layers are best)

    • Shoes for the forest walk

    • A warm layer for the fire outdoors

    • Swimwear and a towel if you’d like to use the sauna

    • A water bottle

    • Everything else — journals, pens, food, teas — is provided.

  • That’s completely okay — many people come because they’re feeling that way.
The space is designed to be gentle, unhurried, and supportive, with clear boundaries, choice, and consent throughout. You can step outside, sit quietly, or opt out of any activity at any time.

  • No — the sauna and cold plunge are entirely optional.
They’re offered as a gentle, supportive experience, not a challenge. You’re just as welcome to relax by the fire, enjoy the warmth, or rest instead.

  • After signing up, you’ll receive a link to our private Heylo group where you can meet like-minded people, ask questions, and stay connected between hikes.

  • Comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing that you can move and relax in.
Layers are recommended, especially for time outdoors. If you plan to use the sauna, bring swimwear and a towel.

  • The morning includes a seasonal, plant-based dining experience — slow, nourishing, and shared.
Local herbal teas are available throughout the retreat.
Dietary requirements can be catered for — please let me know when booking.

  • Your ticket price supports both your wellbeing and others’ mental health.

    • £30 from every ticket is donated directly to Dorset Mind

    • The remaining amount covers the venue, food, facilitation, materials, and hosting

Funds raised help Dorset Mind continue delivering vital mental health support across Dorset.

  • Yes — and you’re very welcome to.
You can book individual dates, or choose the seasonal bundle to attend all four retreats across the year at the best value rate.

  • The retreat is suitable for adults (18+) who are seeking calm, reflection, and connection in nature.
If you’re unsure whether this experience is right for you, you’re very welcome to get in touch and ask.

  • The retreat takes place at Happy River Retreat, located in Wareham Forest, Dorset.
Full directions, parking details, and arrival information will be shared by email after booking.

  • The retreat will go ahead in all but extreme weather.
Happy River Retreat offers a cosy barn and heated yurt with a log burner, so we always have warm, sheltered spaces available.
If conditions allow, we’ll still spend time outdoors — adapted gently and safely.

  • Due to the limited group size and the charitable nature of the event:

    • Tickets are non-refundable

    • If you can no longer attend, you’re welcome to transfer your place to someone else (please let me know in advance)

    • If the event needs to be cancelled by the organiser, you’ll be offered:

      • a full refund or

      • the option to transfer to another date

Thank you for understanding — this helps ensure the experience remains sustainable and that funds can still support Dorset Mind.

You might recognise yourself here

This experience is for you if:

  • You’ve been holding a lot lately — emotionally, mentally, practically

  • You feel busy or stretched and rarely give yourself permission to slow down

  • You want to support your mental health before things feel overwhelming

  • You’re drawn to nature, warmth, and simplicity

  • You want to do something meaningful — for yourself and for others

  • You prefer thoughtful, nourishing experiences over busy workshops

You don’t need to be burnt out. You don’t need to share anything personal. You don’t need to have it all figured out.

How you’ll feel afterwards

People often leave these gatherings feeling:

  • More grounded and settled in their body

  • Mentally quieter and clearer

  • Gently reconnected with themselves

  • Nourished — physically and emotionally

  • Supported, without being analysed or fixed

  • Glad they took the time

This isn’t about transformation or breakthroughs. It’s about coming back into balance and remembering what helps.

Supporting Dorset Mind - Why your ticket matters

Dorset Mind has been supporting the mental wellbeing of people across Dorset for many years. Through their services — from Active Monitoring and Peer Support Groups to Counselling and Children & Young People’s Support — they help individuals build resilience, reduce isolation, and develop tools to improve their mental health.

By taking part in this fundraising retreat run by MindFuelBody, you’re doing two things at once:

  • Supporting your own mental wellbeing

  • Supporting others in your local community

£30 from every ticket is donated directly to Dorset Mind.

Funds raised help Dorset Mind continue delivering vital services, promoting mental health awareness, running accessible wellbeing workshops, and creating safe spaces where people can connect and thrive.

Every ticket helps someone in Dorset feel supported, understood, and able to take positive steps for their mental health.

What’s included

Each seasonal retreat is thoughtfully curated and includes:

  • Nourishing, delicious, vegan brunch

  • A guided forest bathing experience (slow, mindful woodland walk)

  • Guided meditation / relaxation around the fire

  • A sharing circle by the fire (always optional, no pressure to speak)

  • Journaling & self-reflection time with gentle prompts

  • A seasonal wellbeing & dining experience

  • Local herbal teas throughout the morning

  • Forest sauna and cold plunge

  • A seasonal goodie-bag to take home

Food, meditation themes, reflection prompts, and the elements we work with all change with the season, making each gathering unique. Where weather allows, parts of the experience — including the fire circle and dining — may take place outdoors in the forest.

Meet your host

Hello,

I’m Tamara — the founder of MindFuelBody — and I create nature-led wellbeing experiences that support people to slow down, reconnect, and feel more at home in themselves.

My work brings together mindful movement, guided meditation, reflection, nourishment, and time in nature. Everything I offer is grounded in a holistic approach to wellbeing — one that recognises how closely our mental health is connected to rhythm, environment, and feeling supported.

Over the years, I’ve worked with individuals and groups through coaching, retreats, and community experiences, always with a strong emphasis on choice, consent, and creating spaces that feel safe, inclusive, and unpressured. I’m particularly passionate about preventative mental and physical wellbeing — supporting people before things feel overwhelming.

When Dorset Mind reached out to collaborate, it felt like a beautiful alignment of values. Held by the Elements brings together my love of nature, my holistic approach to wellbeing, and a shared commitment to supporting mental health in our local community.

It’s a real honour to host these gatherings — and to do so in a way that supports both the people who attend and others across Dorset.
