A Journey of Reflection Through Nature and Winter Light
Free Monthly Guided Hikes | November 2025 – February 2026 In collaboration with Pier Journal – donations warmly welcomed
As the wheel of the year turns and the light begins to fade, autumn and winter naturally invite inner reflection. Energy dips, moods shift, and we’re gently called inward.
Walking Through Winter is a four-part, mindful hiking series held from November through February — a seasonal pause to move your body, calm your mind, and reconnect with yourself, others, and the landscape around you.
Co-created with Pier Journal, each ~3.5-hour hike is a spacious blend of walking, guided meditation, creative reflection, and quiet connection. These gatherings offer a soothing space to re-ground, feel the season more deeply, and stay connected through the darker months.
Step into a slower rhythm and join me for a series of four soul-nourishing hikes, co-created with Pier Journal. These monthly gatherings are designed to reconnect you with nature, your breath, and your inner compass – one mindful step at a time.
Each experience blends hiking, silent meditation, seasonal reflection, and moments of shared conversation. It’s a chance to unplug, feel the land beneath your feet, and move through the landscape – and your life – with more intention.
-
Each hike lasts approximately 3 hours, including a pause for meditation, reflection, and tea.
-
Each month will feature a different Dorset location. Full details including meet-up point, parking, and terrain will be shared after registration.
Be assured that every hike will be easy to moderate. Suitable for all activity levels.
-
Water
A flask with your favourite tea
A snack or light lunch
Weather-appropriate clothing (layers, waterproofs if needed)
Sturdy walking shoes or boots
Something for creative reflection: a small journal, camera, sketchbook, or anything else that calls to you
Optional: a sit mat or small blanket for meditation stops
-
Yes. While the hikes are ~3.5 hours long, the pace is gentle, with regular pauses and supportive guidance throughout. A basic level of fitness and comfort walking on uneven ground is helpful.
-
Not at all. Reflection can take many forms – from silent observation to doodles in a notebook. There’s no pressure to create or share anything unless you feel inspired.
-
After signing up, you’ll receive a link to our private Heylo group where you can meet fellow walkers, ask questions, and stay connected between hikes.
-
The Reflection Series is free to attend, but registration is essential as places are limited to keep the experience spacious and supportive.
If you feel called, you're warmly encouraged to make a donation to The Pier Journal, our creative partner for this series. Your support helps them continue their beautiful work in publishing, storytelling, and nurturing local voices.
What to expect:
Guided group hike through Dorset’s winter landscapes
Grounding breathwork and guided meditation in nature
Time and space for personal reflection and creative expression – whether that’s journaling, sketching, painting, or photography
Seasonal themes and gentle prompts to inspire introspection
Opportunities for connection and quiet conversation
Time to pause for tea, snacks, and reflection – please bring your own water, tea, and snack
Access to our exclusive Heylo group chat, where you can connect with others before and after the walks, share reflections, and continue the conversation
This is more than just a walk — it’s a monthly winter ritual to move, reflect, and create in rhythm with the season.
This is a free offering, held in collaboration with Pier Journal. If you feel called, donations to support their work in arts, writing, and community are warmly welcomed.
Creative Reflections
Each month, you’ll be invited to submit a creative reflection inspired by your experience on the hike — be it a photo, a poem, a journal entry, a sketch, or even a voice note transcribed into words.
In collaboration with Pier Journal, we’ll be curating a special edition featuring a selection of these creative works — a celebration of walking, winter, and the inner world we uncover along the trail.
Submit your piece after the hike for a chance to be published in Pier Journal’s “Reflection Series” collection.
Who it’s for
This series is for anyone seeking a deeper connection with nature, themselves, and the stories we carry.
Whether you’re an avid hiker, a curious beginner, or simply someone needing a pause – you’re welcome here. You don’t need to consider yourself “outdoorsy” or “creative” to take part.
This space is for the quietly curious, the reflective, the tender-hearted, and those drawn to the quieter months. If you enjoy journaling, sketching, photography, or simply taking a moment to notice – you’ll feel right at home.
Let this be your invitation to walk, breathe, reflect, and express — in your own way.

Meet your host
Hi, I'm Tamara - The MindFuelBody Coach
I’m an accredited Hypnotherapist, Nutritionist, and UESCA-certified Ultra Run Coach with over seven years of experience supporting individuals on their journey to holistic well-being. I'm also currently training to become a qualified Mountain Leader, deepening my connection with the outdoors and expanding the way I guide others through wild landscapes — both inner and outer.
While I’ve spent years as a passionate plant-based ultra trail runner, my approach has since evolved to honour what feels most aligned and nourishing in each season of life. What remains at the heart of everything I do is a deep respect for the mind-body connection, and the power of nature as a space for healing, transformation, and coming home to ourselves.
My own path has been shaped by the grounding rhythm of trail running, the wisdom of the elements, and the inner shifts that hypnotherapy and mindful practices offer. Working and moving with earth, air, fire, and water continues to guide me toward greater resilience, clarity, and joy.
Through my work, I aim to help others reconnect with their inner alchemist – that part of us that knows how to transform, adapt, and rise – by weaving movement, mindset, and nature into a powerful support system for personal growth.
Lots of love,
Tamara
