Welcome to my Race Day Ready Workshop – This half-day workshop is designed by runners, for runners, offering a unique blend of physical activity, mindset strength practices and a plant-based nourishing meal provided by Green Label Kitchen.

This workshop prepares you mentally and physically for your upcoming running event including a vinyasa yoga session aimed for runners to bring strength and mobility into your routine. I partnered with the wonderful Grace, a yoga teacher and ultra runner herself. So you’re going to be well prepared and confident for your challenge. The best part: We’ll be putting theory into practice and going for a trail run with your race day gear.

But the Race Day Ready Workshop is more than just about physical & mental practices – it's about fostering a supportive community of like-minded individuals who share a passion for running and personal growth.

  • 8:45 - 9 am: Arrival & settling in

    9 - 9:15 am: Welcoming circle

    9:15 - 10 am: Masterclass 1: Taper, nutrition & hydration and mental strategies

    10 - 10:45 am: Strong Vinyasa Yoga Session

    10:45 - 11:15 am: Masterclass 2: Post race recovery & Kit optimisation

    11:15 -12 pm: Trail Run (easy, steady run)

    12 - 1 pm: Post Run Stretching & Fuel & Closing Circle

  • After our masterclass 2 on what and how to pack your bag pack right, we’re going on a slow and steady trail run together to put the theory to the test.

    This run is optional. You don’t have to join if you don’t feel like running on the day.

    In a nutshell:

    • Easy, steady, slow trail run

    • 9 km, 50 m elevation gain

    • 45-60 minutes

    • Terrain: easy: gravel

  • I partnered up with the wonderful Grace Benham. She’s a 200 hour Yoga Alliance teacher and passionate ultra runner herself. Grace will guide you through a vinyasa flow followed by core work, finished with a beautiful shvasana.

    It’s a multi-levels practice aimed at runners that need mobility and strength in their routine.

    No previous yoga experience is required.

  • At my Race Day Ready Workshop, I believe in nourishing body and mind with wholesome, plant-based foods. We prioritize the holistic well-being of my participants. Plant-based foods and abstaining from alcohol provide the essential nutrients and energy needed to fuel optimal performance and recovery, promoting endurance and vitality for our runners. So I partnered up with the incredible Green Label Kitchen who will provide us with delicious and nourishing plant-based chicken shawarma wraps and flapjacks.

  • Do I have to be a runner or ultra runner to join the retreat?

    - No, you don’t have to be a seasoned runner. Everybody is welcome. However, the focus of this workshop and the activities are about running. Perhaps you're interested in getting into running and want to meet like-minded people? Then come join us.

    Are we going to run during the workshop?

    - Yes, we’ll be putting theory into practice and go for a slow and steady 45 minutes trail run in the Wareham forest.

    Is the food included in the price?

    - Yes, some snacks and lunch are included.

    What if I don’t have a yoga mat?
    -No worries at all. Simply drop me and email because I’ve gos some spare ones.

    Is parking allowed at the venue?

    - Yes, there are enough parking spots available for free.

    What is this health check form that I have to fill out online?

    - After booking your spot, you'll receive a confirmation email with the payment information and a link to a health check form. This form can be easily filled in online and is mandatory to join the workshop. It contains a few questions about your general health and dietary requirements just making sure that you're healthy and that you'll have a fantastic experience at the workshop.

    What happens if I have to cancel?

This trail run is optional. If you don’t feel like running on the day, you don’t have to come along.

Host: Tamara - The MindFuelBody Coach

UESCA Ultra Run Coach & Nutritionist

Hi, I'm Tamara - The MindFuelBody Coach.

I'm a UESCA certified ultra run coach, personal trainer, and nutritionist with over 5 years of experience in the field. As a passionate plant-based ultra trail runner myself, I specialise in empowering individuals to achieve their goals through a holistic approach that emphasises the profound connection between the mind and body.

With a strong passion and focus on running, I am committed to helping runners of all levels unlock their full potential. Through mindful coaching and nutritional guidance, I aim to inspire others to discover the transformative power of running not just as a physical activity, but as a journey of self-discovery and growth.

Special guest: Grace Benham

200 hour Yoga Alliance teacher

Grace is based in Poole (Dorset) with a passion for running, completing her first ultra Marathon last year.

Her classes open with readings and reflections, followed by pranayama and vinyasa flow, followed by core work and finish with a beautiful shavasana including scent and shoulder alignment.

Grace’s class for this workshop is a multi-level practice aimed at people that exercise and run frequently that need to bring mobility and strength into their routine.
