From 0 to 100 km

Everyone’s journey starts somewhere. Here’s how my running journey started including a few milestones and how I’ll run my way up to 100 km and beyond.

As you can see: I surely wasn’t born as a runner and according to my doctor and the voices of others, I wasn’t meant to run. I believed them many, many years and it wasn’t until when I started to follow my own voice within that I knew I can achieve anything in life if I set my mind to it. You’ve got to work hard, you’ve got to overcome fear, adversity and frankly speaking: Just give a s*** about what others tell you when their only goal is to try to make your smaller so they feel better about themselves. Surrounding myself with people who really care for me and support me, has been an incredible aspect of my running journey and in life generally.

Most importantly: It’s never too late! It’s never too late to change your lifestyle, follow your voice and act upon your values. I started to take running seriously only 2 years ago, found my love for trail running only one year ago and I already ran two ultra distances, a few marathons and dozens of half-marathons - and I’m in my thirties. I can’t wait to see where my trail running journey will take me! All I know is that I will push myself to my limits and beyond and I will be grateful for this gift and enjoy every second of it.

So believe me when I tell you:

If you BELIEVE it, you can ACHIEVE it.
