Part 1 of my IronMan 70.3 journey

Over the next couple of weeks, I’m going to share some posts about my journey to the IronMan 70.3. I thought it’d be nice to create a mini series of this whole endeavour. So let’s get back in time and start where it all began…

Back in 2019 I achieved what I thought was not possible (and this was based on what my doctor told me back in my teenage years: that I’ll never lose as much weight so I look like the other girls). Well, listen up, doc: Due to my hard work, determination, sweat, consistency and my believe in that I can become and achieve whatever I set my mind to, I lost ~ 19 kg and got healthy!

At this point, I spent so much time on the rowing machine in the gym that I needed a new challenge in my life so I asked myself: What am I afraid of and why? And this was when my triathlon journey began…I started this little mini series of posts on my MindFuelBody instagram account and thought I’d share it here with you guys. To be completely honest: I went through these posts this week because my IronMan 70.3 challenge is coming up in less than 4 weeks and I needed to get back and remind myself why I am doing this. It was incredible to see how far I’ve already come! Right now I am not at the point with my training for this IronMan 70.3 as I’ve planned out. This has several reasons; in a nutshell: Life happens. Going back to the beginning, reading these posts from 2019 and reminding myself of the why, helps me getting some motivation and positive vibes.

So without any further ado, here’s the first episode as an image gallery of my IronMan 70.3 journey and how it all started.

Happy swiping and reading :)
